sorry for the delay in posts... i'm still here, just really busy with family things. i've kept working on all my WIPs though and have some good progress on them all. i did finish my 6-12" mini quilt that i gave you a sneak peak of and i mailed it off early last week. it's arrived at her one house, but she's at her old house and hasn't seen it yet. once she does, i'll post pictures. i like it.
my coin quilt top is almost finished. i have the two long edge borders to stitch on and then i can piece the backing together. i'm so exhausted that i don't work on things for too long unless they're small. sitting in hospitals for both parents for 4 days straight wears you out. but during that time, i made some great progress on the sweater i'm knitting for my little nephew for christmas. it's so cute at the moment and i'm hoping that i can manage to follow the directions well enough when it comes time to put the sleeve portion on a holder, bind off the neck and continue knitting, etc. i sort of understand the concept, but have yet to try it. i'm confused.
i started the actual quilting on boo's cat-in-the-hat quilt last night. took it to the hospital thinking i'd get some quality time on it, but never threaded a needle. he hasn't noticed yet, but i'm sure he will tonight when he goes into the living room. he'll be ecstatic about that. the little bugger told me last night that i do a great job quilting...as i was knitting on the sweater... a hint maybe?
and one of these days, i'll finish my batik dress. it's cut smaller than i antipated around the arms, so sizing it as i usually do didn't quite work. and it's cut looser in the hips, so sizing up in the hips didn't work right either. sigh. so it's tight on one portion and too loose on the other and i'm working on it before i put in the facings. it's such pretty fabric and i want to wear it before the fall. :)
